what is the SOUl journey?
Every one of us is on a quest to awaken our souls and come into deeper communion with God, one another, and creation. Yet we can’t do it alone; we need each other in a safe environment to discover what has been dormant or hidden or asleep. We welcome you to join one of our SOUL Journey retreats for just such an opportunity! More about the Soul Journey here.
what is “enneaforming”?
This particular retreat is a journey into our transformation through the particular lens of the Wisdom tradition—a stream of spiritual insight that dates much earlier than Christianity but was exemplified in the life and ministry of Jesus as a moshel mashalim, a wisdom teacher. He was more than a profound teacher, but certainly not less! Looking at the path of spiritual formation from this perspective will broaden and deepen your personal becoming and our communal becoming.
As our title suggests, we will incorporate insights from the Enneagram—but not in the way you have likely seen before. Personality typing is the proverbial “tip of the iceburg” when it comes to this instrument of wisdom. The enduring symbol of the Enneagram also points towards several “laws” that orient our internal and external work of shedding patterns of stuckness and growing towards Christ-in-us.
We will enjoy a glorious blend of activities: good food and wine, spiritual practices together, walking trails and prayer labyrinth, interactive teaching, small group conversation, personal solitude, and even a bit of “conscious labor” in service of the retreat center. Our retreat rhythms combine physical renewal, spiritual stretching, and deep community in a way that will change you.
Topics include:
The headwaters of purpose & destiny
Beyond one type to all types.
Becoming a prophetic presence
The laws of world creation & world maintenance
The sacred alchemy of ora et labora
